SCBIO to work with Department of Commerce to help state agencies prioritize buying medicines, medical devices and supplies made in South Carolina.
April 1, 2021SCBIO is a not-for-profit life sciences and economic development organization formed to promote and expand the state’s life sciences industry. Thanks to a new executive order by Governor Henry McMaster, SCBIO will be assisting the Department of Commerce with an effort to ensure that state agencies purchase medicine, medical devices, and supplies from South Carolina companies like Nephron.
The intention of the initiative is to prevent the state from experiencing supply chain disruptions like those that happened during the COVID-19 pandemic.
